Teppei to Star in New JDrama
Hullo manga lovers, most especially those who have read Shibatora diligently.
Fuji TV is set to air the live-action series this summer and who better to star as the lead than WaT’s other half, Koike Teppei?? He’s acted in several series already such as Gokusen, Dragon Zakura and Oniyome Diary, but nothing really big, just minor parts, really. (Side note: if you plan on watching a drama of his, Oniyome Diary may be a bit funny, but nothing impressive) He’s also starred in the movie Lovely Complex which I adored and will keep on adoring. I’m proud to say I actually own a copy, as it’s quite hard to find Japanese films here. (Anyone interested? I could have it burnt and sell it to you at a way cheap price!
)
But back to the topic at hand! Shibatora revolves around a young-looking detective named Taketora Shibata (hence the nickname Shibatora) and because of the way he looks, he manages to get right in the game with the juvenile delinquents he must handle to solve his cases.
The drama airs starting this July every Tuesdays at 9pm. Set your TiVos – or the like – ready!
