It seems the Philippines is a good centre of Oriental breeding at the moment - no offence intended. Major Brunei-born Taiwanese-based actor Wu Zun who has starred in Taiwan’s popular Japanese manga turned telly programme, Hana-Kimi, has now set his sights for the tropical country as revealed on his blog.

He says: “I’m happy that they have started airing ‘Hana Kimi.’ I am really trying my best to convince my company to do promotional activities in the Philippines,” 

And though his managers denied his first attempt, he’s still persistently persuing visiting the Philippines saying, “I will not give up and hope it will be a reality for all us to meet up one day.”

My Girl’s off to be launched in the Philippines sometime this year as the rights to the programme have been purchased by major television station ABS-CBN which is expected to premiere this May.

The Philippines’ Kim Chiu is set to play the lead role that was originally portrayed by Lee Da Hae (who has also been reportedly sweet with Lee Dong Wook off-camera during their filming, but that’s neither here or there now, is it? lol). No news on the Philippine counterpart of Lee Dong Wook yet.

As clearly expressed in an interview, Emma said and I quote: “Everyone has been going, ‘Are you and Dan together?’ Because it doesn’t happen in the books, everyone is so desperate for it to happen in real life that any opportunity to come up with a story about it is taken.”

Obviously, she’s rather irritated at the whole thing being made public. I still stand that they are together, seeing as her statement doesn’t really say much.
