Guillermo del Toro to film The Hobbit 1 and 2
Guillermo del Toro, director of the Oscar award winning Mexican film Pan’s Labyrinth, is directing the Hobbit, which will come out in two sets. The first instalment will be released next 2010 whilst the second will be released the following year - at least according to iMDB (which can at times, not be all that accurate).
Peter Jackson (director of the LotR trilogy) and Fran Walsh are excecutive producers of the two films which will also be set in New Zealand.
I’ve seen Pan’s Labyrinth and it was pretty damn wicked, although the ‘monster’ was slightly laughable when he used his hands as eyes. I believe this will be a thoroughly marvellous film as well, because del Toro is a brilliant master when it comes to films.
I got my information here as I’ve been practising my Spanish (it’s in a state of disgrace at the moment) so it would be best to Google it for more information. ![]()
Hana Kimi Sequel Revealed
I’ve blogged about this previously, but I’m not sure if I was fully understood. Sigh. The astronomical differences with English English and battered second-hand American English is to blame. Lol.
In hopes of clearing what I said: Taiwan at first wanted to make a sequel due to the popular demand of the audience and because leaving the ending at that was just painfully wretched (in my own biased opinion). But they are not making a sequel. This is due to permission of copyrights they have not obtained from Japan because Japan itself is making a sequel to their own version of Hana-Kimi.
That is the update of the future of Hana-Kimi as far as I know. There won’t be a sequel for Wu Zun, Jiro Wang and Ella Chen. Sorry.
And in a more depressing note, Shirota Yu hasn’t been casted for Japan’s Hana-Kimi sequel. :((
Sienna Miller gets chummy with Jared Leto and Kelly Osbourne

Sienna Miller and Jared Leto at the VIP section of the Coachella music festival. Where for art thou Rhys Ifans? Although honestly, with a beauty like that, I think Rhys is getting way too lucky to be engaged with her. Tut. Oh well, some people have all the luck.

The tabs have been hounding Sienna Miller and her odd choice of clothes (this is still in the Coachella fest btw) but they do absolutely nothing but criticise. I love her choice of Raybans and boots. I also love her skimpy shirtdress, although I don’t particularly care about the brown leather belt.
Wu Zun and Show Luo: Gay?
Hahaha, naaaaaaaaaahhhhhhhh!!

Just a joke amongst themselves when they attended a sit-down dinner/press conference last 4th of April to promote the TDrama “Basketball Fire” (many various titles I feel no need to mention) along with Jerry Yan. The latter wasn’t able to attend due to a dentist appointment. Apparently.
Hope his teeth feel better now. Lol.

Shirota Yuu on ROOKIES and being a senpai

Ah, the actor we all loved as rival Kagurazaka in Hana-Kimi, sweet-tempered Tezuka in Prince of Tennis, and uber mature role (gasp!) in Jyun Bride is once again in demand as the new JDrama, Rookies, aired on Japanese television last April 19th.
The drama mainly revolves around a high school teacher/coach who tries to reform delinquent students by having them join the baseball team. Subbed episode 1 has circulated quite well and quite fast on the Internet via d-addicts.com. Click here for the torrent link to the first ep.

On to a lighter note, our half-Spanish half-Jap actor took part in the annual Thanksgiving Day held by Watanabe Entertainment for the fifth time this 24th of April. He’s now a senpai (senior, older brother) to his fellow kouhais (junior, young uns). He’s happy to be in that position and will do his best to be a mucho hottie senpai. Lol. Yar, he said words far different from mine, but I won’t say what. :) See his wishes for yourself on his official blog. For non-Japanese speaking/reading/comprehending fans, get the English version here.
Rain Promotes Speed Racer
South Korean actor/singer makes his Hollywood debut alongside big screen names such as Emile Hirsch, Christina Ricci, Matthew Fox, Susan Sarandon (who was just brilliant in Enchanted, by the way) and John Goodman.
Oh, the contact networking he must have accomplished! No doubt we should be seeing more of him in Tinseltown.
To make matters even more envious to other aspiring Asian actors, Larry and Andy Wachowski who wrote and directed the film are also the men behind The Matrix. Mmm, sizzling!
Here are photos of Rain/Bi on Speed Racer promotion in HK:

Megan Fox: sexiest woman in the world

Transformers’ hottie nabbed the title sexiest woman in the world by an annual online poll. And to think she’s engaged to last generation’s 90210’s Brian Austin Green whose last appearance was a cameo in Domino (film; Keira Knightley) and several TV programmes that have now been axed.
Tut. She could do so much better.

Penis Theft in Congo
I don’t usually blog about things that are not celebrity/film/TV/scandal/paparazzi inspired, but this just had my jaw drop to the floor.
Quote: “Police in Congo have arrested 13 suspected sorcerers accused of using black magic to steal or shrink men’s penises after a wave of panic and attempted lynchings triggered by the alleged witchcraft.”
If this was a Hollywood film, I’d be laughing my arse off.
It isn’t, unfortunately. Read all about it here.
Prince Caspian

So excited.
I’ve read all the books since I was 12 - absolutely loved them all (except for the Last Battle which was a bit depressing).
Anyway. I love Skandar Keynes (he’s grown up! But still too young for me. sigh.) and Ben Barnes who plays Prince Caspian is hot as well. Let’s see if his acting is up to skill. Coming this May - don’t you dare miss it!
**Sidenote: Voyage of the Dawn Treader is on post-production so more Ben Barnes to come.
Hana-Kimi 2???
It seems (Taiwan) Hana-Kimi’s starting to make waves with hushed rumours of a second instalment. Unfortunately, such is not the case as Japan hasn’t given them copyrights to make a second season. Most likely because Hana-Kimi Japan will come up with their own.
Still, live and reminisce.
